KeeperMyths HC C Buzz and Mary are not your average kids…

Fact 1: They recently found out that Norse gods are real.

(And they’re about to learn there are even more gods.)

Fact 2: Buzz’s mom just returned after being lost in the Amazon.

(But there’s something important she isn’t telling him.)

Fact 3: They might have some awesome abilities of their own.

(And they’re going to need them very soon….)

Strange people have been arriving in Buzz’s hometown of Crowmarsh. But it turns out these visitors aren’t people at all—they’re mythological gods! They’ve come to kidnap Buzz’s best friend, Sam, whose newfound power makes him the key to granting the wishes of the gods.

Buzz and Mary must team up once again on a dangerous adventure to find a mysterious being known as the keeper of the myths. Only the keeper is strong enough to help them save Sam, unlock their own abilities, and banish the gods back to their realms—before they take over the world.

As you can see, Buzz and Mary have a lot on their plate and the mystery doesn’t stop there.

Here is an excerpt from the book:

Mary wasn’t listening. Her hand was on the door handle. “Okay, are ready for this?” she said.

“Ready for what?” Buzz questioned.

“This.” Mary opened the door to her grandmother’s living room.

The normally pristine room was strewn with papers and books. The white walls were covered with arch-shaped symbols with a flame within each one. The arches looked like they had been drawn on with ash.

Mary’s grandmother stood at the far end of the room, fingers sooty from the cinders from the wood burner. She was furiously drawing yet more arches on the wall. Her normally neatly pinned hair was wild and she was muttering something under her breath.

“What is—” Buzz began.

“I found her like this,” Mary interrupted. “She won’t talk to me. Just keeps on drawing these symbols and then going back to these books.” She bent down and scooped up one of the leather bound volumes. “Realms, Dimensions and Parallel Worlds,” she said, showing him the cover.  “Not normal reading for my grandmother.”

“Have you told your parents?” Buzz asked.

Mary shook her head. “I know Grandmother can be a pain but she wouldn’t want them to know about this.”

Buzz frowned. “Mary, don’t take this the wrong way, but your grandmother is getting old, maybe she’s getting confused as well.”

“No, something else is going on here.” Mary’s face had set along stubborn lines. “Something really odd.”

“Come on, you can’t know that for sure and —”Buzz broke off.

Mary’s grandmother was still muttering under her breath as she scrawled on the wall but Buzz could now decipher what she was saying: Pantheon.

“Pantheon,” Buzz repeated. He knew exactly where he’d come across that word before. He felt the hairs on arms stand up on end.

“Yes. It’s a word she keeps on coming back to,” Mary explained. “It has several meanings. It can mean a set of gods belonging to a particular religion, mythology or tradition. Or she could be referring to a temple to the gods in Ancient Rome.” Mary wrinkled her nose. “She might even be talking about the mythical red deer that appears on Tudor flags.”

“No that’s not it,” Buzz said. “I think it is something much worse. And it is in Crowmarsh.”
